What We Collect
- Account Information: If you sign up, we collect your email address and preferred username to manage your participation in debates.
- Debate Content: Arguments, votes, and comments you submit are stored and public by design. Gather is an open arena — your arguments are part of the record.
- Analytics: We use PostHog to understand how the platform is used (which topics get engagement, where people drop off). This data is aggregated and not tied to advertising.
- Cookies: We use cookies for session management and analytics. We do not use advertising cookies.
What We Do Not Do
- We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
- We do not use your debate arguments for targeted advertising.
- We do not share your personal information with third parties except where required by law.
Your Rights
You can request deletion of your account and personal data at any time by emailing contact@gather-here.app.
When an account is deleted, your personal information is removed. Your past arguments in completed proceedings will be anonymized rather than deleted, preserving the integrity of public debate records.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active, and for 30 days after account deletion before permanent removal.
